Several colleges now like UCLA no longer require you to study Shakespeare in order to get a degree in English Literature, instead requiring you study Gender, Race, Ethnicity, Critical Theory, and Imperial Transnational or Post-Colonial studies. Look it up if you don’t believe me.

Yes, it sounds fairly silly, until I thought about it. I see many stories of how competent workers get fired to be replaced with unqualified minorities because otherwise they lose funding / get called bigoted. That sounds very similar to the “privilege points” which were talked about in this video.
They aren’t just making this stuff up. They, and I included, have seen this happen (The stories I hear from Sweden and Denmark… yeesh). Yes, it was obviously exaggerated in this video, but that’s satire for ya: Using a ridiculous scenario or hyperbole to make a finer point.

Basically, its a satire showing a dystopian future where the idea of political correctness has gone too far. Instead of learning advanced math the class focused on “oppression” and “privilege” to the point someone who didn’t do any work got the best grade and the person who did the most work got the worst grade.
Considering recent events on college campuses around the world, its a valid critique.
